We will meet on campus where we'll teach the basics of silver smithing, including soldering, texturing, stone setting, and polishing. One ring will have a setting for a semi-precious gemstone. Garnet, topaz, citrine, peridot etc.

Because this activity involves soldering with a butane torch participants should be 5th grade and above. This item is for an adult/child duo. There will be a total of 6 participants.

The Marine Biology Lab experience (Marine Biology Intern for the day!) will be for 5th grade through upper school students to visit and learn about Lovett's saltwater aquariums and the marine biology program. They will get to know the organisms in the tanks including fish, corals and other invertebrates. They will experience how the aquariums are maintained by performing water changes, chemical tests, and feeding the fish and corals. Students will be up close with live corals, sea urchins, brittle stars, and many marine fish including lots of Lovett-raised clownfish!

To be redeemed after school or Saturday for 2 hours on a mutually agreed upon date.

This is for 1 MS/US student and 3 friends (a total of 4) to spend the afternoon in the Marine Lab. Expires May 2024.

BASKETBALL SESSION WITH MR. CHOI & MR. MILLER

The winner of this auction item will invite 5 other friends (for a total of 6 participants) for a private 90-minute hoop session with the dynamic duo - Director of Teaching and Learning, Mr. Miller, and Head of Lower School, Mr. Choi.

The session will begin with skills development and conclude with competitive game play between Team Miller and Team Choi! Snacks and gatorade will be provided. Mr. Miller was a high school varsity coach in Quito, Ecuador where he took his team to a division championship. Mr. Choi has playing experience on the collegiate level and coaching experience with youth.

This item is reserved for students in grades 4-12. The session must be scheduled in advance with Mr. Choi and Mr. Miller, and is dependent on the availability of gym space on campus. Most weekday evenings or a Saturday afternoon would be viable.
